Vote!!!!The School Millage Election is TUESDAY, MAY 3RD.  Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.  ALL CITY VOTERS VOTE AT THE PUBLIC SAFETY FACTILITY AT 101 LINE STREET.  This is also known as the Police and Fire Department!

Eaton Rapid Hydrant Flushing Notice

Hydrant FlushingMark your calendars for May 17th, 18th and 19th as the City of Eaton Rapids Water Department will be performing their Annual Hydrant Flushing in the City.  Remember, slight discoloration of your water may occur.  To help prevent discoloration of your laundry, let your water run for approximately 5 minutes to flush out the system.

Spring Clean Up in Eaton Rapids

Aerial ViewEaton Rapids and Granger Trash Service are glad to sponsor the "Spring Clean Up Day" in the City of Eaton Rapids.  This will be held on Saturday, June 4th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Wastewater Treatment Plant Parking area located at 300 Market Street.  Dumpsters will be available for residents to get rid of all of their unwanted "junk".  Certain items will not be accepted.  For a complete listing stop by City Hall.

Spring Clean-upThe City of Eaton Rapids along with Granger will be having the Annual "Dejunking Day" at 300 Market Street at the Waste Water Treatment Plant.  The Spring Cleanup will be on Saturday, June 4th from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.! Granger WILL NOT accept:  Lead acid batteries; sewage; yard trimmings; whole tires; hazardous waste; liquids; radioactive materials; drums/barrels which are not empty; compressed gas cylinders; appliances with freon; any container with a hazardous waste label; ignitable, corrosive, reactive or toxic materials; medical wastes; asbestos; computer equipment.

The City will also be offering a recycling opportunity for you to turn in your old working refrigerators, freezers or window air conditioners for a rebate under our Energy Optimization Program.  You will need to bring a copy of your Utility Bill along with your old working appliance.

GazeboEngraved Bricks on the Island!

The City of Eaton Rapids would like to remind you about the "Buy A Brick" program!  Originally there were just over 9,500 bricks laid on the Island, from the crosswalk to the Gazebo.  Many have been replaced with engraved bricks.....862 to be exact!
