Council agenda’s are posted to the website by Friday around 12:00pm. Our meeting schedule is a Work Session on the 1st and 3rd Monday’s at 5pm and Council Meetings on the 2nd and 4th Monday’s at 7pm. All meetings are held at City Hall on the 2nd floor.

The Local Development Finance Authority is a body created under the authority of P.A. 281 of 1986, as amended, to encourage local development, prevent conditions of unemployment and promote growth, create and implement a development plan, acquire interests in real and personal property, and to utilize tax increment financing.
Meetings: As Needed
The Planning Commission is responsible for reviewing all applications for re-zoning, lot splits, site plan approval, special land use permits and variances and giving recommendations to the City Council for each.
The Zoning Board of Appeals is established to perform its duties and exercise its powers as provided in Section 5 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of 1921, as amended (MCLA 125.585), in such a way that the objectives of the Zoning Ordinance shall be observed, public safety secured and substantial justice done.
