Capital Area United Way (CAUW) has been communicating with other nonprofits, government officials, and the United Way helpline, 2-1-1, to understand the community needs created by the COVID-19 crisis.
In response, CAUW has reactivated its Emergency Relief Fund (ERF), a direct assistance program which addresses specific, immediate, and vital needs in our community. In this case, the fund will be used to meet basic needs for households affected by the COVID-19 crisis. No administrative or fundraising costs will be deducted from donations to this fund.
If you need help, please dial 2-1-1 (or 866-561-2500) to speak with a call specialist.
This fund can be used to help qualifying households with assistance in paying rent, mortgages, utility bills and more.
