Community Gardens

The City of Eaton Rapids Community Garden is conveniently located at the Eaton Rapids Public Safety Building on Line Street.  There is no cost associated with a plot.  The garden is well lit and water is provided at no cost to our gardeners.
The plots are approximately 10’x15′ and are fenced in.  Tilling takes place twice annually,  in the early spring and after the harvest in the fall.
We don’t allow the introduction of non organic based pesticides or fertilizers, as some people are very sensitive to these products.
We encourage our apartment dwellers to take advantage of this opportunity.  Gardening is a great way to supplement your diet with healthy food.  It lowers your food bill, it’s a great form of exercise and gives you a chance to meet with people that have the same interests.
You can obtain an application to get your plot at the Eaton Rapids Public Safety Building.  You may also drop your application off at the Eaton Rapids Public Safety Building during normal business hours or drop it off at City Hall when you pay your utility bill.
