Grand River Color Tour Triathlon

The City of Eaton Rapids Quality of Life Board along with the sub-committees of Arts Council, Parks Development and River Recreation, are pleased to organize the Annual Grand River Color Tour Triathlon event! Registered racers will compete in a 400 meter kayak paddle, a 12 mile cycle, and a 5k run during the most colorful season of the year in Eaton Rapids. Additionally, the final leg of the 5k, runners will be blasted with powder coloring leaving each racer to finish the competition in a uniquely colored way.

Charitable Impact
Funds raised during the Grand River Color Tour Triathlon will go towards providing art programs, projects and art installations (such as murals) in the Eaton Rapids Community!

Q. When is the Grand River Color Tour Triathlon held?​
A. The Grand River Color Tour Triathlon is held the 1st Saturday in October! Let us know you’ll be attending, and get registered.

Q. What is the Grand River Color Tour Triathlon Event?
A. The Grand River Color Tour Triathlon Event is a non-traditional triathlon, the race will featuring a 400 meter kayak paddle, a 12 mile cycle, and a 5k run during the most colorful season of the year in Eaton Rapids. Additionally, the final leg of the 5k will be runners will be blasted with powder coloring leaving each racer to finish the competition in a uniquely colored way.

Q. I live in Eaton Rapids. Can I compete too?
A. YES! The mission of the Grand River Color Tour Triathlon is ultimately to bring the town together and shine a spotlight on the community, while raising funds to bring more art to Eaton Rapids. So please, come on down and enjoy an event as unique as Eaton Rapids is.

Q. What do I do if I don’t own a kayak but I still want to participate?
A. You can rent a kayak from the City of Eaton Rapids’ Outdoor Recreation Center for an additional $10.

REGISTRATION

Q. When can I register for the Grand River Color Tour Triathlon Event?
A. You can register right now! Registration will be open until the day of the event.

Q. How much does it cost to register to compete?
A. The non-refundable registration fee is $60. This includes event parking, official Grand River Color Tour Triathlon t-shirt and racing bib.

Q. What is the exact address of the staging area?
A. The address of the staging area (Martin Hansen Amphitheater) is 315 W. Knight St., Eaton Rapids, MI.

Q. Are there any handicap accessible spots?
A. Yes. Please just let us know before the event and we will make sure you have a spot that works for you!

Q. Where do I park my tow vehicle after I’ve dropped my race gear off at staging?
A. PLEASE park your vehicle in the designated parking area which is parking lot 4. We will provide you with a parking pass and a map of designated parking locations at check in.

CHECKING IN

Q. Where do I check in and get my race day gear?
A. There will be a registration tent located at the Martin Hansen Amphitheater that will have everything you need to check in.
